Can you believe it, Christmas is here! I absolutely love this holiday and celebrating the birth of God's son. So much of the Christmas season reminds me of my grandparents, their traditions and how we as a family still carry on those same traditions today. My scandinavian heritage comes out in full swing and I cant help but feel we are making my grandparents proud. From lefsa, to lutefisk, swedish meatballs, and potato sausage, my Christmas Eve feast is one we take pretty serious. Enjoying this wonderful meal at one big table that seems to get longer as our family grows and to finally reading the story of Jesus's birth right from the bible before opening gifts.
As a child for both Ryan and I, Christmas was always celebrated at our grandparent's farm. Eventually the location of both our Christmas celebrations got changed but one thing always stayed the same, we were surrounded by all of our loved ones. Thats the funny thing about traditions you either love them or you hate them. I personally love them and hope to be able to teach our future children our family traditions and be able to start some traditions of our own. Whatever way you are celebrating this Christmas season we hope you are surrounded by your loved ones, good food and hopefully a tradition or two! Our faith in God is truely the reason Ryan and I have found happiness in each other and our life together! We pray that each and everyone of you will feel God's love during this Christmas season, He truely is the reason for the season!
