Ryan and I went in for our 36 week check up on Baby Buck today. Everything is looking good with our little peanut and right on schedule. Baby's heart rate was around 140, my blood pressure is also staying nice and healthy and I'm measuring right on track. We went over our birth plan with the doctor and got that squared away. Our birth plan could potentially change with the outcome of next weeks ultrasound and doctors appointment. It's crazy to think if my placenta doesn't shift we will be picking out our baby's potential birthday, but hopefully that low lying placenta fully shifts out of the way and baby's birthday will be a surprise for all of us.
Our friend Andy came and hung up a few more things in the baby's room over the weekend. The room won't be fully decorated until baby arrives and I can put a few more gender specific items in there. Overall though I love how the nursery has turned out so far. I'll be posting some pictures once the nursery is fully finished. Ryan and I also installed the car seat bases over the weekend in our vehicles. Not the easiest thing to do while being 9 months pregnant. Trying to tighten the belt while putting weight on the base and working around my large belly didn't go over so well, luckily my father in-law came to the rescue and was able to finish the job for us. Ryan and I talked on Monday night how its getting real now seeing the car seat bases in our vehicle.
Overall I'm still feeling pretty good. I have good and bad days, the days I'm not at my job working I feel better but I'm thankful I can put my feet up in between patients if I need to while at work. I'm definitely having more cramping and more braxton hicks contractions. The doctor said today that she thinks my belly has dropped from last week. I definitely think that baby is getting ready to make its grand entrance. I'm still doing crossfit and just taking it one day at time, but it still feels good to move.
We have plans to be at my parent's house for Thanksgiving and my in-laws will also be joining us there. My mom's family will be coming and I'm excited to see them since it has been a couple years since I have seen them. I'm in charge of making the stuffing and needless to say baby and I are ready to eat all the yummy Thanksgiving food! Maternity pants will be the best thing to be wearing that day. On Thanksgiving night to kick off the Christmas season, we have the tradition of watching the movie Christmas Vacation with Ryan's immediate family. Friday we will have our traditional soup dinner with my dad's family on the family farm and celebrate Thanksgiving with them. On Friday Ryan and I will also go get our Christmas tree and get that put up and spend Saturday decorating the tree and the house. We hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and good food. Ryan and I have so much to be thankful for this year! One of the many things we are thankful for is the outpouring of prayers, love and support we have received from all of our readers. God is so good and we are thankful for his never ending love for us! Look for another update next week!
